Our society covets success. Plastered all over media, we see people at the top of their game. And oh, the free coverage you get when "you arrive." However, what we don't witness is the humble beginnings and yes; the setbacks, the failures, and their defeats.

Defeat occurs; however, it's only a temporary experience to find out who's really sure and definite about what they want to do. No one has a failproof success manual to life; in fact, every road to success detours on the setback, failure and defeat highway.

They are merely crossroads to ask yourself, "What can I learn from this experience to ultimately see how I can keep moving forward?

Newsflash

You must continue. Persistence is the one thing that cannot be replaced with something else (like faith or belief) if you want to accomplish anything. There is no way around it. Persistence is the entry pass to embrace possibilities.

As the famous philosopher of success, Napoleon Hill, puts it:

Those who can "take it" [setback, failure, and defeat] are bountifully rewarded for their persistence. They receive as their compensation whatever goal they are pursuing. That is not all! They receive something infinitely more important than material compensation - the knowledge that, "Every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent advantage."

So don't look at struggles as problems; yet, as opportunities. Change your perspective to see a setback, failure, and defeat as a feather in the hat. Take it all to learn and adjust on your road to possibilities.
